Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and confident sales leader to help us get ahead of current leads and dramatically contribute to our company’s rapid and sustained growth.

Profound Strategy delivers a modern, unique suite of SEO products and services that deliver predictable, reliable, and scalable growth for clients. Our fast-paced, collaborative, tight-knit team is already trusted by some of the world’s largest tech companies, including Adobe and Atlassian.

We have more leads than our current sales processes can handle. As our first full-time sales leader, you will work closely with our founder and CEO to further refine our sales process, take over new customer sales, generate additional leads, and work with other team members on upsells for current customers.

 

 

The ideal candidate is familiar with the digital marketing landscape and has multiple years of experience as a successful, results-oriented B2B salesperson. SEO experience is not required, but it is helpful.

If you can build meaningful connections with business leaders, are comfortable reaching out to potential customers, and can design convincing arguments to close B2B sales, we’d like to meet you!

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Present, promote, and sell Profound Strategy’s suite of modern SEO products and services to prospective customers.
  • Collaborate with fulfillment teams to identify, nurture, and close upsell opportunities with current customers.
  • Develop and present meaningful, individualized presentations to decision makers, leveraging provided templates and expanding/refining material for individual situations.
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses for potential customers using our proprietary tools.
  • Develop and refine solid arguments that align with each prospect’s needs and priorities.
  • Establish and develop positive business and customer relationships.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes on schedule.
  • Keep abreast of relevant sales best practices.
  • Continuously improve through feedback. 

Requirements

Two or more years of experience in a B2B sales environment

Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales

Ability to create and deliver tailored, impactful presentations to decision makers

Experience selling to buying teams (i.e. multiple decision makers)

Familiarity with the current digital marketing landscape

Strong relationship-building skills and openness to feedback

Familiarity with CRM practices and ability to maintain up-to-date records (We use Hubspot.)

Driven and self-directed in a fast-paced, virtual work environment

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Experience using online tools for project management and communication

Ability to build productive business relationships

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

This salaried position is full-time. Salary range begins at $75,400, plus commission, depending on experience. Profound Strategy also offers PTO, health, vision, dental, 401k, FSA, and other benefits. While the role is primarily remote, periodic in-office days at our Lake Geneva headquarters are required. This includes orientation and training at our office for the first two weeks of employment, and a minimum of 3 in office days per month. Hours are generally 8AM to 5PM.

While the position is primarily remote, the candidate must be within reasonable driving distance (approx. 2 hours) of our headquarters in Lake Geneva, WI. This is because, after COVID, required in-office time a few days per month will resume. This is not an entry-level position.

WE ARE 100% REMOTE during the COVID-19 pandemic. Once Wisconsin and Illinois state health advisories have recommended non-essential businesses to again operate in person, we will consider resuming in-office work days 2-3 times per month at our Lake Geneva, WI location. Although we value our in-person time, we are fortunate to be able to operate remotely as long as needed.
